MORE ABOUT ME
Ingrid is a remarkable woman who has lived a full and meaningful life. Born and raised in Colombia, Ingrid moved to Miami at the age of 17, where she made her home for the next 16 years. It was in Miami that Ingrid became fluent in Spanglish, a unique blend of Spanish and English that is common in the city. She also got married, became a mother, and formed deep bonds with her family and friends.

In 2010, Ingrid and Luis, decided to make a new home in North Carolina, and Wake Forest quickly became their town. They are now the proud parents of eight beautiful children, ranging in age from 5 to 23. Motherhood has been a gift for Ingrid, and she has relished every moment of it. As a little girl, Ingrid always dreamed of becoming a mom, and now she has been blessed to live that dream.
In addition to being a mother, Ingrid is also a highly trained and experienced Labor and Postpartum Doula. She has always had a passion for helping others, especially other women, and this led her to pursue a career in counseling and addictions. Ingrid has an associate's degree in counseling and addictions, and she also holds several certificates from the Florida Department of Children and Families. These certificates are in Behavioral Observation and Screening, as well as Infant and Toddler Appropriate Practice.
Ingrid has been working with babies, young children, and parents since 1994. She is a Certified Labor and Postpartum Doula from ProDoula and holds a certificate in Women's Studies from Southeastern Baptist Seminary. Ingrid has received training from Postpartum Support International, including the PSI Perinatal Mental Health 2-Day Certificate Course, PSI/2020 Mom Online Maternal Mental Health Certificate Course, and Bipolaridad PSI Alianza Español. Additionally, she is CPR certified.
Ingrid's passion for helping others has led her to open her own doula agency, where she can offer her expertise and support to new mothers and their families. Ingrid's life has been filled with love, learning, and growth, and she is excited to continue on this journey of helping others and making a positive impact in the world.
